Built by experience.
Moved by heart.
All of who I am moves with me.
Sarah Marie Chávez
I have a bachelor’s degree in Psychology and English
Would have continued to achieve my master’s degree in clinical counseling after a year of grad-school had I not become totally disillusioned by the “systems” at large that keep people sick - physically and mentally disconnected from their bodies and in a constant state of dis-ease.
This body remembers
It has carried life, death, and rebirth.
It has been cut open, broken, healed.
I’ve survived disorder, rupture, and loss.
And from that place, I offer care.
Jiu jitsu and massage are a way of life
I practice a combat sport most days out of the week, and I am well-equipped with tools and colleagues to aid my recovery in a timely fashion so I can continue living the life I love.
My entire life revolves around the intricacies of movement and the physical body. I am passionate about what I do and I strive to reach as many people as possible. Change starts from within, and I believe that it is our duty to create the world we wish to see, by being that change.
I went on to study yoga, which led me to Ayurveda
I received my massage therapy education from The Crystal Mountain Institute in 2016 and have actively held a license as a practicing body worker since 2017 in the state of New Mexico.
I went on to become an instructor of massage at the Albuquerque School of Healing Arts.
I am proud to say that my students have become my colleagues and healers of my own physical body.
I am many things.
All of them strong.
Mother. Martial artist. Therapist. Teacher. Friend.
Come home to
your body
Your body is wise—it remembers, it speaks, it guides. Through intentional touch and conscious breath work, I help you reconnect with the parts of you that are calling to be seen, softened, reawakened, or released. Healing begins when you meet yourself within.
